basedow.ch is a multidisciplinary consortium of medical specialists from Swiss private clinics and public hospitals. We all share a common interest in the research and the treatment of thyroid eye disease (TED), also called Graves' Orbitopathy (GO) in autoimmune dysthyroid disease (Graves' Disease). Since May 2005 basedow.ch is a member of EUGOGO (European Group On Graves' Orbitopathy), representing 12 academic centers and universities with a special interest in Graves' Orbitopathy. EUGOGO is a multidisciplinary consortium of clinicians (endocrinologists, ophthalmologists, clinical epidemiologists and radiologists) who have a special clinical and research interest in Graves' Orbitopathy. Our aims are to develop standardised clinical assessment methods for evaluation of patients with Graves' Orbitopathy to obtain better quality in research and
clinical management, as well as to give support to ophthalmologists, endocrinologists and GPs involved in the treatment of patients with Graves' Orbitopathy.
